In Memory of Bertha Lee by Rebecca (Dec.24,1989)

Dear Grandma,
We'll think of you
when we see a rose,
making bread,
sewing clothes.
We'll think of you
and afternoons spent
on your porch
where we often went.
We'd sit and watch
the world go by;
the stories you'd tell,
we'd laugh and cry.
Long trips and friends.
Letters sent.
How could we tell you
what it meant?.....
to hold your hand,
great big hug,
gentle rocking,
warm and snug.
Our Grandma
you will forever be alive
within our memories.
